What's "Cheap Pizza?"

Cheap Piz·za
- noun

1.  a staple of the standard college student's diet, consisting of some type of grain-based crust with sauce and a variety of toppings.  Most commonly obtained from places that have "$1 slice" deals or "$5 mediums" such as Domino's and Little Ceasars.  Generally of questionable nutritional benefit.
2.  a blog written by Kelly M. Rivard, student at North Central College, regarding her experiences and observations as a college student and chronic intern.

The above says it all.

Well, not quite.

The above tells you the basis of what Cheap Pizza is about.  It gives you an idea of what you might find here.  However, it doesn't tell you the how or why of this endeavor.  It also doesn't tell you how much of my heart and soul goes into this little hobby we call "blogging."

Cheap Pizza started off as a place for me to chronicle the efforts to find and obtain internships.  Initially, it had a fairly superficial personality.  Now, it's grown to be a place where I write our observations and life lessons, as well.  Topics range from serious all the way up through goofy and well-meaning.  Generally, my "aha" moments, small successes, and set-backs find their way here.

So, if you're in college, have been in college, or will go to college, I think you might find something to relate to in the sometimes-chaotic, often-emotional words dumped onto this blog.
